The Luxo Wave LED UV is ideal for the inspection of conformal coatings as well as for the detailed inspection of welds, solder joints and other areas of stress concentration. Wave LED UV offers shadow-free magnification with light coming from both sides, as well as three-dimensional magnification with light coming from the left or right.

The flexibility of the joint between lamp head and arm makes exact positioning easy. The spring balanced arm provides maximum vertical and horizontal movement, and will always stay in the right position without drifting.

This ESD version is supplied with a 3.5-diopter (1.88X) optical-quality glass lens.

The Luxo Wave LED UV-ESD is an illuminated magnifier designed for the inspection of conformal coatings in static-sensitive environments where electrostatic discharges can prove fatal for electronic components. The shade and arm are powder-coated with a metal-laced paint that measures 10^4Ω/sq. (conductive). The remaining components are molded in a material that measures 10^5 - 10^6Ω/sq. (static dissipative). Since the surfaces are no longer insulative, triboelectric charging results in drastically lower voltages, especially since any charge (under 50 volts) is uniformly distributed throughout the entire surface of the head assembly.

Luxo UV Magnifiers are primarily designed for the inspection of conformal coatings. UV tracer conformal coatings observed under the WAVE UV lightsource glow a dark purple color allowing for easy identification of uncoated areas.

LED: Lightsource of the future:
Wave LED is equipped with two 6W LED modules, which are individually controllable. A 9 or 4 hour automatic shut-off feature and step dimming (0-50-100%) further ensure energy savings.
