The Hakko FX-972 Dual-Port Soldering Station is a next-generation high-performance 200W soldering station that supports a wide range of new handpieces and derives itself from the best parts of the FM-203. The FX-972 supports 8 different types of handpieces which include standard, micro, rework tweezers, micro tweezers, and heavy duty irons, as well as nitrogen handpieces. The station uses a minimal footprint design that allows multiple units to be stacked to conserve bench space and includes a new easy-to-read display that is more than 3 times larger than the FM-203 and displays set temperature and sensor temperature simultaneously.
The operation and setup are similar to the FM-203 but the interface is re-designed to be intuitive and includes new features such as an IR auto offset when using the FG-100B Tip Thermometer or FG-101B Station Tester, a preset mode that allows easy selection of up to 5 user programmable presets, 3-letter passcode lock for process control, and user selectable sleep temperature. The HAKKO FX-972 also includes a USB interface that allows the station to be set up, controlled, and monitored from a PC using the HAKKO Control Software that is included with the station.

Hakko Control Software
The New Hakko Control Software allows the operator to store and load multiple parameter settings for tighter process control and set profiles, parameters, and tip temperature. With the new Hakko Control Software, the operator can also record tip temperature data, record tip offset measurements, and read a real time temperature graph data from a PC.
