The NEW HAKKO FX-971 Soldering Station is the next generation high-performance soldering station that derives itself from the best parts of the HAKKO FX-951 which is arguably the most reliable and cost-effective soldering station in the electronics industry for the last 15 years.
The FX-971-010 system includes the FX-9701 soldering handpiece and utilizes T39 Series tips for improved performance of the HAKKO Composite Ceramic™ heater. This newly designed single-piece handpiece has a built-in sensor to detect usage and reduce the need for cords or holders. Additionally, the HAKKO FH-215 Holder features a built-in tip stand and triple-function tip cleaning area, eliminating the need for tools or hot pads when changing tips.
The station itself uses a minimal footprint design that allows multiple units to be stacked to conserve workbench space and includes a new easy to read display that is more than 4 times larger than the FX-951 and displays set temperature and sensor temperature simultaneously. The operation and setup are similar to the FX-951 but the interface is redesigned to be intuitive and includes new features such as IR auto offset when using the FG-100B Tip Thermometer or FG-101B Station Tester, preset mode that allows easy selection of up to 5 user programmable presets, 3-letter passcode lock for process control, and user selectable sleep temperature. The HAKKO FX-971 also includes a USB interface that allows the station to be setup, controlled, and monitored from a PC using the HAKKO Control Software that is included with the station.
