The Excelta 7170EA fine tip cutter has Relieved FineTips and Long Cushioned Grip with Optimum cutting edges. Cuts up to 24 AWG soft wire.
Ideal for working in very confined areas. It features induction hardened cutting blades to RHC 63-65. The set-screw located in the jaws prevent the blades from over-travel and also prolong the life of the cutting blades. The CNC machining allows the joint surfaces to be perfect to allow for long life. The grips are soft cushioned foam and are ESD safe (10¹⁰ ohms/sq). The dual leaf springs provide smooth action. (Medical Manufacturing Application - Ideal for cutting the flashing on plastic implant screws.)
