AIM NC280 No Clean Liquid Flux – Halide-Free ROL0 Soldering Flux – Leaded & Lead-Free – High Reliability Electronics Assembly
High-Reliability No-Clean Liquid Flux for Precision Soldering, Rework & Electronics Manufacturing
AIM NC280 No Clean Liquid Flux is a high-performance, halide-free ROL0 soldering flux specifically formulated for demanding, high-reliability applications in automotive electronics, medical devices, military electronics, and PCB assembly. Designed to deliver excellent wetting performance and minimal post-process residue, NC280 provides reliable soldering results with both leaded and lead-free solder alloys.
Featuring a unique formulation that passes J-STD-004A and J-STD-004B Surface Insulation Resistance (SIR) testing without thermal exposure, AIM NC280 is particularly suited for applications involving localized heat, including hand soldering, selective soldering, insulated wire tinning, and electronic component rework. The no-clean formulation minimizes residue after soldering, while remaining residues can be removed with most commercially available flux cleaners when necessary.

Application & Process Guidelines
- Hand Soldering: Apply NC280 sparingly to minimize post-soldering residue
- Wire Tinning: Dip approximately 50% of the exposed wire into flux before tinning normally
- Selective Soldering: Suitable for localized heat applications and controlled flux application
- Application Methods: Apply using a spray system, flux bottle, flux pen, or dipping process
- Flux Maintenance: Replace flux daily in wire-tinning applications to help prevent contamination and evaporative loss
- Cleaning: Remove residues using a commercially available flux remover when required; IPA is not recommended
